Details of the Japan Visa

Indian citizens traveling to Japan for tourism, business, or visiting family need to apply for a Japan Visa before traveling. Japan visas are not available on arrival. The application must be submitted at the Japan Embassy / Consulate or through authorized visa centers. A Japan tourist visa is generally issued as a single-entry visa with a stay period of up to 15 or 30 days, depending on the travel purpose. Applicants must provide proof of financial stability, return tickets, travel itinerary, hotel bookings, and in some cases, a sponsor letter. Processing normally takes 5 to 7 working days, and the final entry is given by Japanese Immigration upon arrival.

• Covering Letter explaining purpose of travel
