Day 2 – Shimla
Sightseeing’s in Shimla
Kufri : Located 16 kilometers from Shimla, Kufri is bestowed with slopes, which makes it a hub for adventure lovers. A great place to unwind, Kufri offers panoramic views of the Himalayas. This tiny tinsel town features various places of interest like Himalayan Nature Park, Chini Bungalow, Kufri Fun World, etc. The highest peak in Kufri - Mahasu Peak is yet another famous hotspot for tourists. Car services are available till the nearest point to Kufri. Also, the trek to Mahasu Peak requires a lot of walking, hence it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes. Also, pony services are available to reach the peak.
Scandal Point : Stationed at the junction of the Mall Road and Ridge Road, Scandal Point is a famous landmark marked by the statue of the Indian freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai. According to the legends, Scandal Point was the same place where then Maharaja of Patiala eloped with the daughter of British Viceroy. At the time when the incident happened, it was a scandal of the highest order. And hence the place got its name. Also, the place is known for offering a beautiful view of the mountains.
Gaiety Theatre : An architectural landmark on the Shimla Mall Road, Gaiety Theatre, also known as Gaiety Heritage Cultural Complex, is a 122-year-old Victorian theatre complex and is the oldest Gothic theatre in Asia. The finest example of Victorian-era architecture, the theatre features an art gallery, museum, multi-purpose hall and amphitheater in addition to the old theatre. Facades of this Victorian-era theatre often draw a comparison with London’s Albert Hall. There are exhibition halls including art gallery inside this place. Presently, the heritage buildings host numerous performing arts and cultural programmes in the city. The theater remains closed on Mondays.
Shimla Church : Built in 1857, Shimla Church is North India's second oldest church. The impressive church is located on the ridge and its neo-Gothic architecture with stained-glass windows is worth seeing. The interiors of the temples are adorned with tinted glass panes and a rich collection of old scriptures. Paintings from the life of Jesus Christ is another must-see feature. The Pipe Organ in the church, built in the year 1899, is the biggest in the Indian Subcontinent.
Townhall : An iconic British landmark located on the Mall Road of Shimla, Town Hall is a beautiful building, dating back to 1908 and shaped by Scottish Architect James Ransone. This British-era building, with wooden frames, shingles eaves, slanting slate roof and big glass windows, is the finest example
of Tudor style architecture. During the British era, the town used to house a library with a few public utility offices in the British-era.
Himalayan Nature Park : Located about 18 km away from Shimla, the Himalayan Nature Park in Kufri is one of the best parks in Himachal Pradesh to witness wildlife in large enclosures. The park is famous for its scenic beauty with a wide variety of flora and fauna. Sprawling over an area of 90 hectares, the flourishing landscape of this park has copious Deodar, Fir, Holly, Blue Pine, and Spruce trees with a good variety of orchid, geranium, balsam, primula etc. The park is home to species like Musk Deer, Sambar, Goral etc. While here, don't forget to carry binoculars as one could see birds like Cheer Pheasants, Monal Pheasants and the White Crested Kahleej. The park remains closed for visitors on Tuesday. Car itineraries usually do not include an extended stop here, therefore keep a look out while you pass by this attraction.
 Indira Tourist Park : Amidst snow-capped peaks near the famous Himalayan National Park, Indira Tourist Park (also known as Indira Bungalow) is named after the former Prime Minister of India - Indira Gandhi. In the year 1972, during the signing of the Shimla Agreement between India and Pakistan, Indira Gandhi visited this place. The park features a video game parlour where kids can enjoy some fun games. Inside the park, there's also a coffee house, operated by Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC). Tourists can also enjoy a wide range of activities like a yak ride, pony ride, etc. in the park.
Solang Valley
Around 14 kilometers from the Manali city, between Beas Kund and Solang Village, lies the Solang Valley, renowned for its scenic beauty and known for hosting finest adventure activities like skiing, trekking, paragliding, skating, zorbing, and parachuting. Not just the adventure seekers, the valley is a delight for nature lovers as well. View of gorgeous Himalayan peaks from the valley further adds to its beauty. The famous Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports is also based here. During winters, the valleys host the famous winter skiing festival.

Day 6- Dharamshala
Bhagsu Falls:
Three kilometers from the town lies the famous Bhagsu falls, also known as Bhagsunath Falls. Situated at a height of 20 meters, the waterfall is also known for its ancient Shiva temple. Around the waterfall, there are many cafes that let people enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while watching the pristine beauty of Bhagsunath waterfalls. For a visit to the Bhagsunag Fall & Temple, comfortable footwear is recommended as cars will be available till a certain piont and the excursion to the fall involves a lot of walking.
Church of St. John:
Located on a road to Naddi Village, St. John Church, also known as St. John in the Wilderness, was built in 1852 in a Neo-Gothic architectural style. Hence, it is counted amongst the oldest Anglican churches in the region. A walk through the deodar streets leads up to the facades of this colonial church with Belgium style stained glass windows that were donated by Lady Elgin, wife of Lord Elgin. One of the viceroys of India, Lord Elgin died at Chauntra (Mandi district) and was buried here in 1863 A.D.
War Memorial:
The war memorial in Dharamshala is built in the memory of post independence war heroes who sacrificed their lives while fighting valiantly for the honor of their motherland. In the middle of a well-manicured garden, there's a huge black panel, inscribed with the name of the martyrs who laid down their lives guarding the motherland in the operations of 1947-48, 1962, 1965 & 1971. The memorial has a beautiful lawn, adorned with pine trees and flowers.
Day 7 – Dharamshala to Chandigarh (240km/5-6 Hrs)
Rose Garden:
Located in the sector 16 of Chandigarh, Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is a beautiful blooming garden spread over 30 acres of land. The garden features beautifully planted 16,000 different species of roses. It is one of the most prominent locations in the city to enjoy some fun-filled picnic time with your family and friends. Inside the garden, there's a Rose Garden art monument, an auditorium, and a statue of Dr. M.S. Randhawa. The garden plays host to a grand annual rose festival every year, welcoming visitors from across the globe. Car itineraries usually do not include an extended stop here, therefore keep a lookout while you pass by this attraction.
Sukhna Lake: A famous spot in Chandigarh, Sukhna Lake is an ideal place to enjoy some fun time with your friends and family. Stretching over 3 kilometers, the lake is enveloped by Shivalik mountain range with the golf course in the south and Rock Garden to the west. Boating is the major attractions of the lake, that tourists could choose to enjoy at their own expense. Also, here you could see locals strolling and enjoying food as there are many local eateries around the lake.
 Rock Garden: A must-visit sculpture garden of Chandigarh, Rock Garden is a marvelous place created by a former road inspector, Nek Chand Sain. From small sculptures to curvy pathways and interlinked waterfalls, everything has been handcrafted with the use of recycled materials like broken bangles, ceramic parts, electrical waste, broken pipes and etc. Nek Chand demonstrated how urban and industrial waste can be fruitfully recycled and used in creative pursuit. With an open-air theater, fourteen different chambers and a vast pavilion featuring a center stage, the layout of the garden is based on the fantasy of a lost Kingdom.
