DAY 2 ISTANBUL (B)
0750hrs Today enjoy Half-Day morning sightseeing tour of Istanbul city.
Visit Byzantine Hippodrome, in which stand the obelisk brought from Egypt by Theodosius and the
Serpent Column taken from Delphi by Constantine. Then visit Hagia Sophia(Closed on Monday), which is
considered as one of the eight wonders of the world, also occupies a prominent place in the history of art
and architecture. It is one of the rare works of this size and age that has survived to our day. The church is
erroneously known as Saint Sophia in the west. The basilica was not dedicated to a saint named Sophia,
but to Divine Wisdom. Later we visit Blue Mosque, which has six minarets and a middle dome of 109 feet
and Grand Covered Bazaar (closed on Sundays) dating back to 15th century. It covers over 4,000 shops
under one roof. Return back to hotel on your own. In the evening take an optional Istanbul by Night tour
which includes visit to one of the best night clubs in Istanbul with limited drinks and dinner.

DAY 3 ISTANBUL – IZMIR – EPHESUS - KUSADASI (B,L,D)
This morning transfer to Istanbul (Ataturk) Airport for morning flight to Izmir (Note: Your arrival flight
should arrive into Izmir by 0900hrs).
Upon arrival at Izmir drive to Ephesus. Then drive to an ancient Greek city, later a major Roman city, on
the west coast of Asia Minor which called Ephesus, stroll past the Celsius library, the Temple Of Hadrian
and the Trajan Fountain in the Ancient Ephesus. After walking on the historical marble street the Great
Theater where St. Paul preached will meet at the end. Local lunch will be served at Turkish restaurant.
Page 12In the afternoon we will visit the carpet cooperative to see how the Turkish carpets are made by hand.
Proceed to shrine of Mother Mary (House of Virgin Mary), it is believed where she spent recent years of
her life. Temple Of Artemis (Diana), on the side of one of the seven wonders of ancient World. After the
tour transfer to hotel in Kusadasi and check-in.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Kusadasi.
DAY 4 KUSADASI – PAMUKKALE- KUSADASI (B, L, D)
This morning drive to Pamukkale that has the meaning of the “Cotton Fortress” in English. Once known
as Hierapolis, famous for healing thermal / mineral baths and beautiful snow-white “petrified waterfalls”.
After local lunch visit Hierapolis Ancient Site, including the magnificently preserved Necropolis, the
main Street and Gates, the thermal Baths, the devil’s hole, and Masterpiece Theater. Pamukkale terraces
are made of travertine, a sedimentary rock deposited by water from the hot springs. In this area, there are
17 hot water springs in which the temperature ranges from 35°C to 100°C The water that emerges from
the spring is transported 320 meters (1,050 ft.) to the head of the travertine terraces and deposits calcium
carbonate on a section 60 to 70 meters long covering an expanse of 240 meters to 300 meters. After the
tour transfer back to hotel in Kusadasi.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel in Kusadasi.
DAY 5 KUSADASI – IZMIR – ISTANBUL – DEPART (B)
This morning check out of the hotel by 12 noon as you are transfered to Izmir Airport for your flight back
home.
