Day 2 – Chittorgarh to Mount Abu

Sunset Point :While visiting Mount Abu and Nakki Lake, the Sunset Point cannot be missed as it adds the perfect finishing touch to a great day out in nature’s paradise. It is situated towards the south-west direction of the lake. The charming sunset view from here attracts a lot of visitors in the evening, but don’t let that dishearten you. You will be rewarded for your visit with some amazing photo opportunities, and can also opt to take a stroll around to enjoy the perfect serenity of nature. There are also several souvenir shops nearby dealing with toys, trinkets and so on.
Nakki Lake :The beautiful Nakki Lake, popularly known as Nakki Jheel, is widely accepted as the first man-made lake in India. Situated amidst the Aravali hills of Mount Abu, it is a delight for nature lovers and a popular sightseeing point for visitors to this hill station. Some of Mahatma Gandhi’s ashes were immersed in this lake in 1948 and Gandhi Ghat was constructed here to mark that point. The walk from here to Toad’s Rock is a popular one if you enjoy walking
Nathdwara :Located 48 kilometers north-east of Udaipur, Nathdwara is a quaint town situated on the banks of the Banas River. The town is famous for being home to the highly revered Shrinathji Temple, one of the most important temples in India dedicated to Lord Krishna. Nathdwara is visited by thousands of devotees every year, especially during the festivals of Janamashtami and Holi. The town is also famous for the intricate Pichwai paintings.
Srinathji Temple :Situated on the banks of Gaib Sagar Lake, Srinathji is a magnificent temple which is located about 45 kilometres away from Udaipur. The temple was built by Maharawal Punjraj and is constructed with ivory-white marble. The prime attraction of the temple is a human size statue of Goverdhannathji and Shri Radhikaji which are housed in the main sanctum. Sacred statues of Shri Ramchandraji and Shri Baake Bihariji are also housed in another shrine of the temple complex. One can also visit the various other small shrines within the temple complex and revel in its serene atmosphere. It is suggested to dress modestly while visiting the temple.
Day 3 – Mount Abu

Dilwara Jain Temples :Dilwara temples, the most famous Jain temples in India, are located just on the outskirts of Mount Abu, amidst the forested hills. They are a cluster of five temples, all dating between the 11th and 13th centuries, of which the Shri Parshvanath Temple has the tallest shrine. The temples are known for their intricate marble carving. The architecture of these temples is so beautiful and enthralling that some people consider it superior to that of the Taj Mahal. The carved ceilings, doorways, pillars and panels are all packed with artistic mastery. While visiting please note that electronic items are not allowed inside the temple.
Guru Shikhar :Guru Shikhar, the highest point in the region, is named after Guru Dattatreya, believed to be an incarnation of the Hindu Holy Trinity (Brahma, Vishnu, Shiv). It is located about 15 km from Mount Abu atop the Arbuda Mountains and offers a great 180 degree view from the top. At the top of the peak is a cave temple dedicated to Guru Dattatreya and his mother Anasuya. Opposite the temple you can also get a sight of the Mount Abu Infrared Observatory. Please keep in mind that you would need to climb up a large number of steps if you wish to go up to the top of the peak.
Gau Mukh Kund :Gaumukh Kund is a sacred water body located at Chittorgarh Fort near Udaipur. ‘Gaumukh’ means the ‘mouth of a cow’ – the water flows by the cracks in the rocks from a spring that resembles the shape of a cow’s face. It is one of the eighty-four fresh water reservoirs and is admired as ‘Tirth Raj of Chittorgarh’. It is visited by numerous tourists throughout the year. Travellers are allowed to feed the fish in the reservoir. It is said that the Rani Bindar Tunnel located near this reservoir leads to an underground chamber, where Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh performed ‘Jauhar’. A spiritual tour remains incomplete without visiting Gaumukh Kund.
Adhar Devi Temple :Adhar Devi Temple is just a few kilometres away from the hill station of Mount Abu. The interesting thing about this temple is that it lies inside a cave!
Raghunath temple :Located near Mount Abu’s Nakki Lake, the temple dates back to the 14th century and boasts a lovely architectural design. It is dedicated to the reincarnation of Vishnu.Trevor's Tank :The Trevor's Tank is an artificially created crocodile breeding center set against the picturesque view of luxuriant greens. The area is a beautiful combination of manmade creation set against natural beauty. It is an ideal spot for nature and wildlife enthusiasts. Located around 5km from Mount Abu, it is a perfect picnic spot where visitors could spot crocodiles along with the other animals (like the black bear) and birds living in their natural habitat.
Achalgarh Village : km away from Mount Abu and is home to the famed Achalgarh Fort.
Day 4 – Mount Abu to Udaipur

Saheliyon ki Bari :Lying on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, Saheliyon ki Bari is an alluring garden famous for its natural beauty. The garden was built by Maharana Sangram Singh in the 18th century and gifted by the Maharana to his wife as a retreat to relax. The striking rain fountains, marvellous marble elephant structures and a museum of beautiful paintings and artifacts are the major attractions of this garden. A leisurely stroll around this velvety and lush garden adorned with splendid architecture makes it a perfect tourist spot to enjoy some tranquility.
City Palace :Perched on the eastern banks of Lake Pichola, Udaipur's City Palace is grandeur personified. This majestic palace was built by various generations of Sisodia Rajputs, starting over 400 years ago. The architecture of the palace features a perfect blend of European, Medieval and Chinese influences. Constructed using pure white marble and granite, it houses 11 palaces within the sprawling complex. The interiors include cupolas, towers, and balconies which are adorned with mirror-work, marble work, coloured glass, ornamental tile-work, murals, wall-paintings etc. The palace terrace offers a fascinating view of Lake Pichola which is truly a feast for the eyes. This is the largest palace complex in the entire state of Rajasthan; a large part of it is now a museum.
